Football hooligans from Montenegro have sent a series of threats to Three Lions fans travelling to tonight’s game.
Yobs from the east European country wrote “Death to England” online and told supporters to “watch your heads”.The sick messages were posted on a YouTube video of England fans singing the national anthem.
One Montenegro yob wrote: “ENGLAND PUSSYS WE WAITING YOU IN MARCH! TRY TO SAVE YOUR HEADS IN PODGORICA!”
A website user called Srbija Pravoslavlje added: “DEATH TO ENGLAND.”Thugs also posted vile messages about the Queen and claimed solidarity with Argentina over the Falklands. The taunts come after Montenegro nuts invaded the pitch when England and Wayne Rooney, 27, played there in 2011.
Montenegro has a hardcore hooligan faction called Ultras, who are known for ambushing away fans outside the stadium. The Montenegro Football Association has pleaded with their supporters to behave.
President Dejan Savicevic said: “I’d like to appeal to our fans to cheer and support our players in a sporting manner and in the right fashion. I’m saying this because, in the last year and a half, our association has had to pay penalties of up to 90,000 Euros after incidents at this ground.”
The English FA recently organised a meeting between opposing fans so English supporters could get travelling advice.
